After 17 amazing years in the US we decided to go back and try living in Israel.

Why? Because home is where you are loved and most of our relatives are in Israel. Because our parents are getting older and the kids are growing very fast, and we want both generations to enjoy each other. Because we love Israeli songs and food. Because a challenging and interesting job opportunity came along.

Who are we? Moshe - a native Israeli (sabra), born in Beer Sheva. He came to the US in 1994 for his PhD and ended up staying for 17 long and happy years. Maria - born in Moscow, Russia. Immigrated to Israel in 1991, met Moshe while studing in the Weizmann Institute of Science and joined him in the US. Our kids are Naor (12) and Nadia (9) were born in Boston. We had a sabra baby girl in November 2012.

This is a blog about excitement and difficulties of immigration, cultural differences, mixed families, explaining Obama in Israel and Israel to our American friends. There may be a happy ending or a sad regret. For now - it is an adventure.
